A Digital Companion

The useful parts of the house guide, always in your pocket.

This page is designed for guests who are already at Vista Cove. The printed guidebook in the house remains the place to find private contact information and Wi-Fi credentials.

Need Wi-Fi?

Use the Wi-Fi QR code posted inside the house. We intentionally do not publish the network password or private host contact information on the public website.

House Basics

A few things worth knowing first.

These are the reminders that make the house easier to use and help keep Vista Cove in good shape for everyone.

Front Door

Use the keypad deadbolt only.

Please do not lock the lower handle lock on the front door. It cannot be opened with the keypad and can lock you out. When leaving, close the door firmly and use the lock button on the keypad deadbolt.

Parking

Driveway only.

The driveway fits up to four vehicles. Please do not park on the front or back lawn and do not park in the street. Parts of the yard contain septic infrastructure that can be damaged by vehicles.

House Rules

No smoking. No vaping. No pets.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property—including the screened porch, deck, dock, yard, and other outdoor areas. Pets are not permitted anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors.

Quiet Hours

10 PM – 7 AM.

Sound carries across the water. Please keep outdoor noise down during quiet hours and be considerate of our neighbors.

Roku TVs

Sign in without worrying about sign-out.

The TVs use Roku. When signing into Guest Mode, enter your departure date and Roku will automatically sign you out when your stay ends. You can also use the available live TV channels.

Nearby Essentials

Private, not remote.

Food Lion, Dollar General, and a gas station are about 10 minutes away for groceries, ice, drinks, pharmacy basics, and the things that inevitably get forgotten.

Waterfront + Outdoors

Everything for a day by the creek.

The backyard shed is the home base for most of the water, fishing, and crabbing gear.

Backyard Shed

Water gear lives here.

Kayaks, paddle boards, the water hammock, and life jackets are stored in the shed. Please let wet gear dry when practical and return everything to the same place when finished.

Fishing + Crabbing

Help yourself to the gear.

Fishing rods, assorted tackle, one large crab pot, several smaller crab pots, and a large pot for steaming crabs are kept in the shed. Please clean and return reusable items when you are finished.

Dock Safety

Enjoy the water—no diving.

Water depth changes with the tide and is generally shallow around the dock. Please do not dive. Children should be closely supervised near the shoreline, deck, dock, and water, and life jackets are strongly recommended.

Grill

Propane and tools are provided.

The gas grill is on the back patio. Turn on the propane before lighting, turn the propane off when finished, scrub the grates with the provided brush, and replace the grill cover after it cools.

Pergola

Leave the roof open when finished.

When you are not using the pergola, please leave the adjustable roof open so wind can pass through rather than putting unnecessary force on the structure.

Outdoor Furniture

Please replace the covers.

High winds can move cushions and covers quickly. Please cover the pergola furniture when you are finished and before departure, tucking the cover edges under the furniture feet so they stay secure.
